Now that we are fully in the swing of the Christmas party season, its time to break out that LBD or that classy suit and get ready to have the time of your life with your friends or colleagues… oh and raise some money for charity whilst you’re at it.
Homeless charity Crisis are getting you to raise funds for their essential work over the Christmas period by have some seriously good festive fun at home. Crisis Christmas Party Week runs from the 8th December 2014 to the 15th and has been backed by television presenter and comedienne, Jo Brand and also one of the Hairy Bikers – Si King. It is hoped that families, offices, schools, community groups, friends and more will get together and turn their home into the ultimate end of year bash.
In order to assist, Crisis have put together a downloadable Party Pack available on their website here. Also on the website you’ll be able to find a list of recipes to create the perfect party platter including dishes created by celebrity chefs such as Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall and Rick Stein.
Your party pack will have everything that you’re going to need including invitations, posters and even hats! Homelessness is a major problem at this time of year and Crisis want to raise as much money as possible in order to protect those people on the streets at Christmas. Everyone deserves a hot meal and a safe place to go at Christmas and Crisis’ work towards helping the homeless really goes into overdrive at this time of year. Your party with the funds you raise will go a long way towards helping out. You can even upload your photos to the Crisis website to show off how great your party has been.
