To mark Small Charity Week, Local Giving are running a #GiveMe5 initiative today, Thursday 16th June, which will see all £5 donations made online entered into a draw to be doubled. MASH asks for your fivers so they can be put into the draw, which will double 1,000 x £5 donations.
You can donate as many times as you wish on the day, with each donation having an equal chance to be matched. MASH will then let you know if your donation was picked from the draw.
As 83.1% of the UK voluntary sector is made up of small and micro charities, it might surprise you to know that only 5.3% of all funding goes to support these organisations.
Local Giving wish to be an advocate for change; supporting local charities on Small Charity Week and pledging to double 1,000 x £5 donations made on Fundraising Day in collaboration with the FSI. They also aim to run the campaign again on the 29th November for #GivingTuesday, so you’ll have another chance to take part.
Last year alone, the #GiveMe5 campaign raised over £95,000 for local charities and community groups across the country.
Why donate to MASH?
MASH is a small local charity that makes a huge impact on sex workers across Greater Manchester. Your small donations of £5 will undoubtedly make a massive difference and expand the scope of their work so they can help more women on the streets and raise awareness of the charity’s goals.
By helping to spread the word of #GiveMe5, Dial2Donate hope to become part of the movement of showcasing just one of hundreds of thousands of vital, yet underrepresented local charities in the UK.
